Gas pre-heaters

In block type gas heaters (series III), the medium is heated indirectly in a tube coil. The tube coil is cast in an aluminium block together with the electrical heating bundle, which is protected by a sheath made of steel or stainless steel.

The tube coil is the pressure-bearing component and is calculated, produced and documented in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive, ASME or other regulations.

The design, connections (1-2"), performance and dimensions according to individual requirements.

Special benefits of the ELMESS block type gas pre-heaters

• Use for high operating pressures of up to around 500 bar limited by the tube coil that bears the pressure alone
• Use for operating temperatures of up to around 400°C
• Safe and easy temperature regulation, also for variable flow
• Good regulation with a small temperature difference between the maximum permissible and the medium temperature
• Use for aggressive media

The gas is heated directly in the flow heater (series I) in a flow vessel by an integrated electrical heating unit.

To protect the heater and to maintain the temperature class on Ex devices, the surface temperature of the heating elements is monitored by temperature probes or switches.
The flow vessel is calculated, produced and documented as pressure equipment in accordance with the Pressure Equipment Directive, ASME or other regulations.

Thanks to a special, double-walled heater design with low heat loss, the inlet and outlet connections on series II heaters are placed at the same height. The same is possible for block type gas pre-heaters (series III).
