Electronic monitoring devices
ELMESS supplies temperature monitoring devices, thyristor controllers and temperature regulators for optimum monitoring and control of electrical heaters.
Electronic thermal cut-out
The thermal cut-out is used to monitor the temperatures of electrical and non-electrical equipment (e.g. heaters, pressure equipment) that is also operated in potentially explosive areas.
The shut-down temperature is adjusted in the factory during the routine test, e.g. together with the electrical equipment to be monitored. The temperature that is set in the factory and entered on the type plate is safeguarded to prevent adjustment and must not be changed during operation.
If the set temperature is exceeded or if there is a fault on the measuring line or the probe (breakage or short circuit), the protective temperature limiter switches off immediately and permanently. The reset can be used to restart it after cooling by at least 20 K.
An external reset is possible by connecting a potential-free contact.

Thyristor controllers
The thyristor controllers are contactless and therefore wear-free switches. They are suitable for switching resistive loads. They work at the zero point of the voltage with an adjustment degree of between 0 and 100 %.
The faults emanating from the machine are negligible thanks to this switching principle.
Triggering is performed using a logic signal (bursts) of 0 V and 4 - 32 V DC or 24 - 265 V AC.
The types that are available are divided into measurement currents of 30 A, 50 A, 70 A and 100 A at measurement voltages of 480 V AC, 500 V AC and 690 V AC.
The devices are intended for installation in switch cabinets on a 35 mm standard rail. Two devices are required by the 30 A and 50 A thyristor controller for a three-phase economy circuit.
An additional monitoring function can also be integrated as an option. Thyristor controllers with active cooling (fans) require auxiliary power and are equipped with a temperature switch.
